Join our online information session organized by the In-Move by Railgrup and the STARS Project in collaboration with ACCIÓ.
In this session, we will inform you about the latest developments in industrial research and experimental development in the green sector, specifically the Green R&D Cores. We will also announce the latest open call until October 11, 2023, at 14:00 CET.
Green R&D Nucliei is part of a new line of help within ACCIÓ's business R&D Nuclis Program. This grant is designed to support R&D projects led by Catalan companies focusing on advancing technology and contributing to green transformation. A budget of 5.2 million euros has been allocated for this funding opportunity.
Nuclis d'R+D Green in Climate Change
The R&D projects subject to this line have as their main objective the generation of products, processes, or services aligned with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (such as the development of sustainable materials, renewable energies, and sustainable mobility) and adaptation to the impacts of climate change and the reduction of the vulnerability of natural and socio-economic systems (such as efficiency in the use of water, land, energy, improvement in biodiversity or contribution to the resilience of the territory).
We advise you on the call.
To be eligible, R&D projects must be related to the abovementioned themes and be led by companies with operational headquarters and the capacity to carry out R&D activities in Catalonia. The call allows the development of individual projects by the Catalan company or in collaboration with TECNIO-accredited developers or other Catalan companies. In addition, international partners from countries such as Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Belgium, Israel, Brazil, India, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and Australia are allowed to participate, as well as some regions or specific provinces in Canada (Alberta and Quebec) and the United States (California, New York, and Massachusetts), and certain municipalities and special administrative regions in China (Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong).
Concerning the R&D project budget, these calls require a minimum expenditure of 120,000 euros in R&D activities, and the maximum subsidy for lost funds can reach up to 250,000 euros per project. Aid intensities range from 25% to 70% of the accepted subsidized cost of the project, depending on the size of the company and the type of R&D activities carried out within the project.
